I meet students at the level in which they arrive. I use their interests to drive the curriculum and ensure their success. I use many different approaches to teaching-whatever works for the student I am teaching! Students should see success early and often.

I graduated valedictorian of my high school class and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University with a concentration in History. I graduated magna cum laude in 1995 and hold a teaching license in Indiana.

I have been teaching middle school students for 19 years. I have taught math, language arts, and social studies. I have been tutoring for 15 years.

I read all kinds of books and love to watch action-packed movies. I also run almost every day. Most of my extra activities involve watching my 4 children in their activities.
