EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I find that each student has a preferred learning style and, by working to their strengths, I can help them learn best. I include real world examples in my sessions and make sure that everything is explained in a clear and concise manner through discussions and diagrams.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I went to the University of Waterloo to study Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Through it I gained great insight into how different students learned and how to best cater to individual learning preferences. Before attending university, I wrote both the SAT and ACT and scored in the top percentile in both.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Throughout the entirety of my education and for the past five years, I’ve been working with students to help them excel. Working with students in math, physics, chemistry, as well as on the SAT and ACT material, I’ve found that students learn best when fully engaged in the process. I aim to focus on my students’ specific interests so that they can get the most out of each and every session.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy long hikes and bike rides. And despite the best efforts of friends and family to stop me, I also enjoy dancing, albeit, badly.
