SUBJECTS
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe there are three pillars of success: (1) know yourself, (2) know your students, and (3) know your content. Without one of these pillars, success cannot fully be achieved.
My master’s program (educational psychology) has helped me create a more reflective self. Before I can teach and know my students, I had to completely know myself. This is an ongoing process and always will be as we are constantly changing and growing every day.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I went to Marist graduate for my undergrad (majored in math and secondary education and minored in business and psychology) as well as for my masters (educational psychology).
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have student teaching, subbing, tutoring, and teaching experience over the past 3 years. I was also a director for two seasons of Destination Science.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am still extremely active and involved as I have many passions and hobbies. I currently still am involved volleyball, softball, writing, crafting, scuba diving, volunteer work, painting and cycling.
