EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My personal educational philosophy is that everyone deserves a chance to excel to their educational potential no matter the situation at hand. My goal is to help each individual to the best of my abilities and adapt my teaching skills when needed. Due to my calm demeanour and willingness to go the extra mile to help, I am positive we will accomplish the task at hand.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Biology at Bay Path College of May 2011. During my time at this institution, I was able to collaborate with my colleagues in producing biofuels and DNA extracting proteins. Furthermore, I was able to work on my own; organizing, creating and producing an organic compound for my internship.
During my last semester at Bay Path, I took the opportunity to travel to Royal Holloway University of London to study physics as well as human and environmental studies. Just last year, I studied at the University of Texas at Dallas starting on my PhD in chemistry. While there I was a lead research assistant in a biochemistry laboratory, collaborating with my advisor on numerous Cancer and Alzheimer’s related research.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have experience as a tutor and teaching assistant for over 7 years.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Besides my growing passion to learn and explore the world of cancer biology and genetics alike, I enjoy numerous outdoor activities; some of them include swimming, hiking and fishing.
