EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Education not only provides us with the rudimentary skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in life, it is also an invigorating chance to explore our minds, discover our deepest passions, and find out how we can use our minds and passions to meet a need and better our world.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School with a grade point average of 3.69 and 45 college credits through my rigorous study in International Baccalaureate courses. Then, I went on to study Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language at Western Washington University where I graduated in three years with a grade point average of 3.72.
The following year I was a Campus Missionary in Training and produced seminary-level coursework while serving international students on an individual and small-group basis, gaining a fuller understanding of all that goes into working as a clergywoman for university students.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I received a Teaching English as a Second Language Certification as my minor in college and have therefore learned many techniques and gained a great deal of experience teaching English to ESL children and international university students.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I was heavily involved in choir and advanced jazz choir, and played two years of soccer during high school. Throughout my university studies, I participated in and became a leader for Campus Christian Fellowship.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a score of 28 on my ACT exam.
