About Me
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My educational philosophy aligns with Chickering and Gamson’s Seven Principles of Undergraduate Education. With this, I prioritize the student experience through constant communication and by establishing an active learning environment. I provide distinct learning objectives and use examples to direct the student to the best learning experience.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
My educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Political Science with an emphasis on public administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. I also have a technical diploma from the DeVry Institute of Technology with an emphasis on electronics technology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My experience as a virtual course instructor spans 10 years and includes the teaching of English Composition 101 and 102, American Government, and STEM education courses at the university level. I have taught students from all age groups and from the United States, China, Japan, Uganda, India, and Saudi Arabia. In addition, I have taught face-to-face workshops that cover public administration and human resources issues.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am active in our non-denominational church as the Children’s Church Coordinator and in our Hunger Ministry. I continue to work as an instructor for the FHSU Science and Math Education Institute.
