I believe that all students have the ability to learn if given the right tools (skills) to help them through the educational process. Teachers who are caring, patient and willing to give students the one-on-one instruction that they may need are a student’s most valuable asset. I believe that I am one of these teachers.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History and the Social Sciences at College of White Plains of Pace University. I am also a certified teacher in the state of New Hampshire. My educational background ranges from teaching at traditional brick and mortar schools (middle and high school); adult high school; online charter school (grades 8-12. I have taught at private, Catholic, public and charter schools.

I began my teaching career right out of college, about 40 years ago. I have taught at private, public and online charter schools. I have experience with teaching students who were “At Risk”, low level achievers, those with emotional and behavioral problems, as well as average and above average abilities. I have taught grade levels ranging from 7th-12th grades and adult learners. I also have experience tutoring at Sylvan Learning Academy. Most recently, I have spent 6 years as an online Social Studies instructor.

Currently, my extracurricular activities include reading and watching historical videos and those that are about conspiracy theories. I enjoy researching my family’s genealogy and have taught others how to search for their family’s history. During the spring and summer months I enjoy being outside and gardening, walking my Chihuahua or going to a nearby lake or ocean with my grandchildren.
