EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every individual has special gifts that have a purpose in this world. I believe that with a positive learning experience, and that with positive reinforcement all people can reach their highest potential. I think it is my job as a facilitator of learning to provide the best learning experience making it fun, meaningful and relevant.
I love teaching and believe that with hard work, dedication and commitment that we can all reach our goals and dreams.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta. I then went on and received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in an international program in San Diego, California. I also am trained in Differentiated Learning Instruction which means customizing the learning to the strengths of my students in a style and way that is meaningful to them. I also have been train in Operant Effectual Counselling, in leadership and in brain research. I love to take my learning and provide the best opportunity for my students. Lastly I have developed websites, email campaigns, webinars, etc. online.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught students of all ages: from elementary age to secondary age. I have taught various subject areas and have also taught teachers and leaders both in the educational sector and private sector.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have played and coached the following: basketball, volleyball, baseball, curling and track and field. I have also produced drama productions and coordinated events. I love to play piano, sing, and work out at the gym. I spend time with my husband and daughter and we enjoy the arts as well.
