EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy of teaching has evolved from many years of teaching experience. As I reflect on my beliefs regarding teaching and learning, I find that my mission as a teacher is threefold:
• To promote positive learning;
• To spark learner enthusiasm for learning;
• To provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning

To accomplish this, I enjoy applying a wide variety of strategies based on essential educational principles encompassing cognitive functioning, learning theory, diversity issues, instructional planning and assessment.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education along with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I am a certified teacher in Georgia.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My background in education has primarily been teaching English Language Arts/ Literature/ Reading and Writing on the middle school level. I have taught every grade from Pre-K to 12th. I have also been a physical education teacher,a cross country running coach, cheer-leading coach, Spelling Bee coach, journalism teacher, and a yearbook adviser. I consider myself a very diverse educator with leadership skills.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I’ve previously been a cross country running coach, cheer-leading coach, and yearbook adviser. I’ve also worked with the Junior Honor Society and was the Spelling Bee coach. I been involved in many school activities as a volunteer.
