EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Tailoring interventions to the student’s unique learning language can be done by rephrasing the lesson. My educational tool box will contain a wide variety of learning theories to properly support my student’s needs. The learning environment will be a positive one which will be a motivating factor throughout their learning because responding to their individual needs validates them as a person which is important. My personal mission is to bring out the natural talents which lie in all of my students.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University with a 3.9 GPA. I am a certified teacher in the state of Colorado.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started out as a paraprofessional working at an elementary school for 3 years. During my first year I discovered how much I loved helping students strive. I have been working in an educational setting over the last 5 years.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
When I am not working I love playing and spending time with my own children. I love taking them places to and watching them learn about various things. When we are not out, we spend family night on the couch watching movies, popping popcorn, laughing and just plain enjoying time with each other. It may sound simple but sometimes the simple things in life is what is most important.
