Get Ready for LEAP Assessments
SchoolTutoring Academy’s LEAP Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our LEAP tutoring programs include regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding
LEAP Tests
Louisiana state testing starts as early as Kindergarten. Students entering Kindergarten take the GOLD and then take the DIBELS assessment in literacy through to 3rd grade. From 3rd to 8th grades, students take the LEAP test annually. This test covers the subjects of ELA, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Once in high school, students continue to take LEAP tests after completing English I, English II, Algebra I, Geometry, US History, and Biology.
