As the student ages into an adolescent and eventually adulthood, the instructor must facilitate the student’s ability to contribute not only to academic pursuits but also society as a whole. This path of education allows for ample indulgence of the student’s curiosity while still focusing on acquired information’s practical application in life.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in History from the University of North Florida in April 2013 at age 18. I specialized in children’s literature, adolescent literature, Southern literature, American literature, and creative writing. I have earned 30 out of a necessary 33 course credits in the Master of Arts in English program at Morehead State University, which I expect to officially graduate from in November 2014.

I have been a private tutor at the elementary to undergraduate levels in English and social studies. I am currently employed as a dance and tumble instructor and have taught children and adolescents from the ages of five to nineteen. I have also volunteered as a Pop Warner assistant coach for several years. Between these three positions, I have had the pleasure of working and connecting with children and adolescents for an extensive length of time.

In addition to instructing in dance, I have continued to study the art. I also have an avid interest in music, playing guitar and piano as well as composing. Interactive media, graphic design, and the visual arts similarly hold a strong appeal for me.
