EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
All students learn at unique speeds, and have varying comfort levels in the classroom. Tutoring allows students to work one-on-one with a knowledgeable instructor who can provide the individualized attention that is sometimes unavailable in the classroom.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Writing and Literature from the Eastern Michigan University in 2010 and then received my Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at George Manson University in 2014.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Teaching takes place both inside and outside of the classroom. I have taken graduate-level courses on English instruction, and have done extensive teaching and training in the professional world, working in management and human resources for several years. I describe myself as a dedicated team leader who truly enjoys spending time with learners.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have worked regularly for both a local newspaper, and a national creative journal. My fiction writing has been published in several journals around the country. I have also translated my knowledge of English studies and writing into the professional workplace, creating company newsletters and working with professional social media.
